I met Sarah & Matt through Lucy at Nest interiors. They were already putting ideas together for their new kitchen diner space when they asked me to get involved with the kitchen. They were knocking down a wall in their Chorlton terrace to bring the middle room & kitchen together.

Sarah & Matt love to cook, so it was really important for them to have a functional space where everything is to hand.

 

Matt was drawing inspiration from Chef’s kitchens that typically contain a lot of open shelving & hanging space for easy access to pans, utensils & ingredients. They also wanted to use very natural materials & colours that would open up the room & would connect it with their small garden.

The finished result is this striking kitchen that is full of character & style. The contrast of the Duck green & the brick wall feels homely & all the steel shelves & storage accessories added by Sarah & Matt give that industrial touch that is also super practical for a busy family kitchen.
